We can find references to use of the Mappa Mundi in the organization of the Totalty of a case and in materia medica study by Peter Fraser and by Misha Norland (this latter my recommended reference), and in my online course Working with the Mappa Mundi (which is no longer available; I’ll see if I might be able to resurrect it).
I’d like again to emphasize Alfred Korzybski’s admonition that ”a map is not the territory it is intended to represent, but is intended to have a similar structure to the territory, which accounts for its usefulness.”
